The United Arab Emirates signed an agreement with the government of Yemen to increase flights between the two countries, state-run Emirates News Agency said today.
The memorandum of understanding between the two governments adds four additional weekly flights by Dubai carriers to the Yemeni capital as well as additional flights to other Yemeni airports, the report said.
A number of governments including that of the United States and U.A.E. enforced a ban on air freight from Yemen following the discovery in October that two parcel bombs on their way to the U.S. had originated from the Arab nation. The U.A.E. civil aviation authority lifted the ban in December.
