The Yemeni opposition parties accepted Sunday an initiative by President Ali Abdullah Saleh for resuming dialogue to rescue their country from collapsing into chaos.
The opposition said they would take to streets if this dialogue failed like the previous ones.
Earlier this month, Saleh offered concessions including not to run for office when his current term ends in 2013 and his son would succeed him.
In a press conference the opposition they are ready negotiate with Saleh for rescuing the country not for rescuing his regime.
"We want dialogue to rescue our country not rescue the regime," Said Yasin Saeed Nomam, the secretary general of the socialist party, the second lagest opposition party, after the Islamist, Islah, which leads the opposition coalition.
Saturday, President Saleh in a meeting with his party officials, called the opposition to declare their position towards the imitative.
