Yemen UNICEF supports more children

The Yemen-based UNICEF office said it is continuing helping the children affected by conflicts and poverty all over the country. 

In a press release the office said: 

35,794 vulnerable displaced and conflict affected children (boys: 15,597, girls: 20,197) were provided psychosocial support in Abyan, Aden, Al Dhale'e and Lahj (South Yemen), Amran, Hajjah and Sa'ada (North), Amanat Al Asimah, Sana'a and Taiz Governorates (Central/West). 

 The UNICEF WASH team is working with other cluster partners in preparedness for the upcoming World Water Day (March 22nd 2013). 

371,785 school bags have been distributed for children throughout Sa’ada, Abyan, Aden, Lahj, Al Dhale, Haradh (in the north), Ibb and Hodeidah (central/west) Governorates as part of the ongoing Back to School campaign.
