An intelligence officer was killed when two gunmen opened fire on him in the city of Al Mukalla east of Yemen, security sources said Saturday.
The intelligence officer , Abdullah Ba Sharaheel on his way home with his family when the gunmen, riding a motorcycle, shot him dead in the area of Fawh in Al Mukalla, in the eastern province of Hudhrmourt. The two gunmen escaped before the security surrounded the place.
The sources said Al Qaeda was likely behind the attack as Ba Sharaheel was not in problem with anyone.
