SANA'A- Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi hailed on Wednesday the International Monetary fund (IMF)'s initiative to open an office in Yemen.
During his meeting with IMF's resident representative Ghazi Shbeikat, al-Arhabi affirmed such initiative will promote the joint cooperation relations between Yemen and IMF, considering appointing a resident representative in the country reflects the great interest of the fund in supporting development issues and reforms in Yemen.
The IMF's official renewed the Fund's readiness to keep on presenting all kind of assistance to Yemen.Al-Arhabi and Shbeikat discussed a number of issues related to the mutual cooperation between Yemen and IMF and ways of boosting them.
